New Deal basketball coach receives award

New Deal boys basketball coach Kyle Bean recently was named the Don Coleman Outstanding Coach of the Year for Class 1A by the Texas Assocation of Basketball Coaches.

Bean guided the Lions to the District 4-1A championship and five rounds deep in the playoffs. New Deal ended its season with a 46-43 loss to Gruver in the semi-state finals.
